Wing Tattoos for Women

A full back piece can be an expensive and time consuming commitment. Expect several hours in the chair, particularly for extremely detailed wings. If you love the look of angel wings, but don't want a full back piece, the lower back makes a better placement for small wings. Small wings sprouting from the natural point of the shoulder blades can actually look dwarfed or out of place, as if the wings have shrunk. The same sized wings on the lower back are much more to scale and won't look so out of place.

Sexiest Tattoos for Women

The style of your rose tattoo will depend on your reasons for getting it. The classic version, a delicately drawn flower in red with green leaves, can look wonderfully simple and innocent. A name emblazoned across a rose is a well-known symbol of love and devotion. But if you want something more unusual, you might consider:
  • Black-and-white fineline. There's no reason your rose needs any color at all. A skilled artist can create details and shading using nothing but fine black lines.
  • Tribal style. The curving lines of tribal-style tattoos can be fashioned in shapes and images, including the rose.
  • Stylized shapes. The stem or leaves of your rose can be part of the design, worked into a heart, a chain, or even a Celtic knot.
  • Multiple flowers. Roses can form a wreath around your arm, a bouquet, or a pattern across your lower back.

Star Tattoos For Women

A tattoo is first and foremost an individual expression, and the type of pattern chosen should reflect that individuality. When most people picture a star, they envision a classic five-point design, but there are many different styles to choose from. A talented tattoo artist can even create a truly unique tattoo design from drawings or descriptions.
The key to choosing any tattoo is deciding if it is the pattern for you. While many people choose designs based on current preferences (television shows, friends, professions, etc.), they may end up regretting those decisions years down the road as their lives change. Stars, on the other hand, are abstract enough to blend with changing circumstances and can be longer-lived designs as a result.

Pretty Tattoos for Women

Everyone has different ideas about their favorite sexy tattoos. Is a lower back tattoo sexy? What about an armband? Both the choice of image and the location play a part in an appealing tat. What makes a tattoo considered sexy is definitely in the eye of the beholder.

Rosary Tattoos for Women

Rosary tattoos are usually seen on people who are Roman Catholic, and who want to show off their faith or Chistian alues. While some religions, specifically Judaism and Islam, denounce tattoos and do not allow their followers to get inked, not all religions have specific rules about tattoos. There are often different sentiments expressed by Catholics and Protestants about the allowance of tattoos in their churches. Both Christians and Jews abide by the Bible, and feel that there is a passage in the Old Testament that specifically prohibits tattoos: "Do not cut your bodies for the dead or put tattoo marks on yourselves. I am the Lord." - Leviticus 19:28 Depending on how strictly you interpret the Bible, this can be seen as a full-on denouncing of tattoos, or just a warning against specific marks from Biblical times. Jews proclaim that this statement means any tattoos on human skin are forbidden, while some Christians do not take the quote as literally.Today, some churchgoers feel ink, such as Rosary tattoos, are not attractive, but others see getting tattoos such as those of the Rosary and Crosses to be a welcome sign of faith.
 Rosary tattoos for women

Religious tattoos, including crosses, Rosaries, pentagrams and other symbols, can seem like a great idea when choosing to get a tat. You should be careful, however, if you think you might change your mind about religion in the future. Rosary tattoos can be beautiful and attractive, but if you are unsure about the right religion for your beliefs, a Rosary can be a strong symbol of Catholicism that's difficult to ignore. Remember, it is hard to remove a tattoo once completed, and religious tattoos are definitely among the most controversial and regretted tats.

Rose Tattoos for Women

Fossil evidence tells us that the rose has been around for about 35 million years. Gardeners have cultivated them for perhaps five millennia. In the Middle East during the Roman period, roses were used as confetti at celebrations, as a source of fragrance, and for medicinal purposes. Wreaths of roses have been found in ancient Egyptian tombs. Roses became popular in Europe in the 18th century. Napoleon's wife, Josephine, maintained magnificent rose gardens near Paris.

Among the ancient Greeks, roses symbolized secrecy. Wearing a rose during a religious ceremony implied that the wearer would keep the religion's secrets sacred. Ancient Greco-Roman culture also saw the rose as a symbol of beauty, of springtime, and of love. And they saw in it a reminder of how fleeting life can be. In Rome, "rosalia" was an annual feast honoring the dead. More recently, in the Christian faith, the rose has stood for martyrdom, even at times representing Christ himself. A thornless rose has been associated with the Virgin Mary. And the rose is part of the elaborate symbolism of the Knights Templar, an ancient Christian society surrounded in secrecy and legend. Some people consider the rose to be an emblem of heresy.

Tattoos for Women

Women with tattoos Starting in around 1927, she began an illustrious career with Ringling Bros. Barnum and Bailey Circus. Betty was one of the first women ever to have a full body tattoo, and also one of the first to be tattooed by the "new" electric tattoo machine. Her full body tattoo was done by a New York artist named Charlie Wagner, and after getting tats all over her body, she displayed them in the circus side shows, earning quite a bit of money (and reputation). Eventually, Betty became a tattoo artist herself and worked at the job until her retirement in 1967.
